The hustle and bustle of Naama Bay

Most of the hotels are set along the palm-fringed Naama Bay, which is a fully comprehensive resort. Most boast their own private stretch of beach along with all the amenities you could ask for such as sunloungers, parasols and bar service.

Here, you can lie under the sun with a cocktail in your hand no matter what time of year. Alternatively, you can always stay active with a banana boat ride or other watersports. And, of course, there are snorkelling opportunities right off the beach as well as many diving spots further out.

See the coral reefs up close at Sharks Bay

Sharks Bay is one of the smallest neighbourhoods in Sharm el Sheikh, yet it boasts some remarkable hotels where private stretches of sand are fully equipped to cater to your every whim. Taking a dip in the warm Red Sea is an experience that is unique to Egypt holidays with its stunning coral reefs.

This whole area boasts 250 types of coral reef and 1000 species of marine life, so it’s hardly surprising that it’s such a popular snorkelling and diving spot. The wreck of SS Thistlegorm is close by – sunk by German bombers during World War II. It’s considered one of the greatest wrecks in the world and is suitable for divers of all levels.

The serene air of Nabq Bay

Nabq Bay is part of the Nabq National Park and has a coastline fringed by a mangrove forest. Covering a large area, you can expect a remarkably varied landscape. Despite sitting so close to Ras Mohamed National Park, the coral reefs here are very different.

The bay itself is the most northerly in Sharm el Sheikh and just 20 minutes from Sharm el Sheikh airport. Here, you’ll discover charming whitewashed houses and a distinctive bay with a stretch of ankle-high water, before a sharp drop off into the rest of the ocean.

The fantastic hotels set along the beach have jetties from where you can enjoy fantastic views to Tiran Island opposite – perfect for an evening stroll. This is a tranquil area where you can enjoy swimming in the clear water surrounded by exotic fish and coral reefs.
